Two University of Windsor residences will be closed until the fall, due to mold issues.

An assessment is now complete at two buildings of the Clark Residence.

The mold was first spotted in one of the buildings, which is already closed.

Fifty students living in the second residence through the summer have been given options for finding other accommodations.

A university spokesperson says a feasibility study is underway, which will determine what to repair and when the repairs will be done.

The buildings date back to the 1980s.

The mold issues in building two are not the same as they are in building one. The decision has also been made that students in building two would be given the option to relocate elsewhere on campus.
