Three men face charges after a double stabbing in east Windsor.

Windsor police say it took place in the 2600 block of Jefferson Boulevard after a fight broke out around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police say when they arrived, Essex-Windsor EMS was tending to a 30-year-old man, suffering from stab wounds.

Constable Andrew Drouillard says officers spoke with a 23-year-old man who was involved in the incident inside the house.

At that very moment, a 42-year-old man called police and said he was also involved and drove himself to the hospital to be treated for serious stab wounds.

Drouillard tells CTV Windsor the injuries are considered serious, but not life-threatening. One man remains in hospital but Drouillard says he’s expected to make a recovery in the next couple of days.

30-year-old Gregory Vlakevski of Windsor and 23-year-old Stefan Vasic of Windsor are charged assault with a weapon and aggravated assault.

Zuhair Gorges,42, of Windsor is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and breach of probation.

Police say all three men are known to each other and they call the incident an isolated event.

But that is little comfort to residents in the neighborhood.

“I do have some concern with this happening so close with my children in the area,” says resident Becky Dodge.

“It’s kind of nerve-wracking,” admits resident Susan Desantis.

Police are asking for witnesses to the incident to come forward with more information.
