Two men have been charged after a 27-year-old man suffered a serious head injury after getting hit with a skateboard, according to Windsor police.

On Saturday at about 11:30 p.m., police began an investigation into an assault near Ouellette Avenue and University Avenue. 

Investigation revealed that the victim was involved in a verbal argument with two unknown men. 

Police say the verbal argument escalated into a physical confrontation and at some point the 27-year-old male victim was struck in the head by a skateboard. 

Officers observed the two suspects and placed them under arrest. 

The victim was transported to Detroit hospital with a serious head injury and he remains in hospital in stable condition.

 Nathaniel Hornick, 20, from Windsor is charged with aggravated assault.

 Ivory Springer, 22, from Windsor is charged with aggravated assault.
