Windsor police have charged two people after a vehicle stop that led to police to a property in the 1700 block of Jefferson Blvd.

As part of a drug trafficking investigation, police stopped a grey Chrysler 300 in the area of Vimy Avenue and Windmere Road around 8 p.m. on Thursday.

A 32-year-old male and a 20-year-old female, both from Windsor, were arrested and a subsequent search of the male suspect and vehicle revealed cash and a quantity of marijuana.

As part of the investigation, police then searched the Jefferson Boulevard property, where they seized:

  • 67.7 grams of crack cocaine and 49 grams of marijuana valued at $7,260
  • a Mossberg long fifle
  • $725 cash

As a result, Christopher Poole has been charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm without a licence.

The 20-year-old woman was charged with possession of marijuana and released from custody on a promise to appear.
