Windsor city workers are crediting tighter restrictions for reducing the number of body rub parlours in Windsor.

Regulations making it illegal for the parlours to be within one kilometre of each other and harder for operators to open near schools was brought into effect almost two years ago.

Deputy license commissioner Michael Chantler says there are no licensed parlours on Ouellette Avenue.

He adds bylaw officers are always on the lookout for illegal or unlicensed operations.

There have been 11 complaints at the 311 call centre this year.
