Three men from Leamington are facing trafficking charges following a two year joint investigation between Canada Border Services Agency and the RCMP.
The three men were arrested Thursday after police say they obtained evidence that they were involved in the importation and trafficking of cocaine.
According to police they are accused of moving large amounts of cocaine from Mexico into Canada.
Police seized more than two kilograms of cocaine and discovered sophisticated concealment methods which allowed the shipments to cross the border.
Police have charged 48-year-old Daniel Tiessen and 29-year-old Jacob Tiessen with conspiracy to traffick cocaine.
The two suspects, and 56-year-old Jay Shanks, have also been charged with conspiracy to kidnap.
Police have not released any details in regards to the kidnapping charges.
Search warrants were also executed in Manitoba as police were arresting the three men in Leamington.
