A Windsor squirrel survived after knocking out power for 158 customers this morning.

Enwin officials say the outage occurred when the squirrel came into contact with high voltage equipment.

The little critter was alive and well after the 16,000-volt surprise.

Power was restored around 11:28 a.m. to the 2100 to 2300 blocks of Louis, Parent, Elsmere and Marentette, between Vimy and Lens.
