The temporary pool in the main bowl of the WFCU Centre is complete and has had its first test run.

Operations director and former Olympic swimmer Kelly Stefanshyn was the first one to test out the 25-metre pool to be used at the 13th FINA World Swimming Championships.

Myrtha Pools began installing the pool Nov. 11.

About 700 volunteers will work throughout the event.

The opening ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m. Monday night at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor. The event runs until Dec. 11.
