Police are asking for public assistance after a woman out walking was seen being ushered into a white van on Monday night.
Investigators were called to the area of McNaughton Avenue West between Sandy Street and St. Clair Street around 8:40 p.m. for a suspicious incident.
Police say they received a report of a white van stopping, the male driver then approaching a female walking in the area and ushering her into the vehicle.
Officers flooded the area, but were unable to locate the van.
Chatham-Kent police are looking to identify and speak with the involved persons to find out exactly what happened.
