Essex County OPP are asking for the public’s help, following a spree of break and enters in Lakeshore and Tecumseh.

Provincial police say the suspects responsible for several break-ins, where jewelry was taken, may be surveilling residences beforehand. The break-ins are reported to have happened in the early hours of the morning, shortly after the homeowner is seen leaving.

Police didn’t indicate how many homes have been broken into, but believe a number of the break-ins are related.

One of the suspects is described as a woman in her 40’s, standing 5’6”, with reddish-brown shoulder length hair and a medium to heavy build. She was last seen wearing a long trench coat. The suspect may also be speaking with an undetermined accent.

OPP say the suspect was seen entering a silver four-door sedan before leaving the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Jeff Paquette at 519-723-2496 or anonymously Crime Stoppers.
