Windsor police have arrested a 20-year-old suspect related to a shooting investigation on Brant Street. 

Officers were called to the intersection of Brant Street and Louis Avenue on Tuesday at approximately 6:40 p.m.

Police say a 19-year-old male had been shot in the chest.  

Through investigation, police say they obtained information regarding a suspect responsible for the shooting. Police say members from patrol, the Emergency Services Unit, and the provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Squad were instrumental in the arrest of the suspect. 

On Thursday at about 5:45 p.m., police arrested the 20-year-old suspect in the 1100 block of Albert Road without incident.  The suspect will appear in court today charged with attempted murder.

Police say they have not located the weapon or the truck, nor have they confirmed that the arrested suspect is the same individual who drove the victim and left him at the intersection of Brant Street and Louis Avenue.
