Sunshine List highlights pay of top public employees in Windsor
Paul Picard of the Greater Essex County District School Board is on the Sunshine List.
The annual disclosure of public-sector salaries of more than $100,000 has been released Friday.
Locally, there are numerous City of Windsor employees on the Sunshine List.
Rita Pennesi, the Windsor police director of financial services made $426,503 in 2016. But City officials say that total includes retroactive pay dating back a number of years.
The total number of Windsor police employees on the Sunshine List is 375.
There were also about 140 employees of Windsor Fire and Rescue services on the list.
Chief Administrative Officer Onorio Colucci made $235,161 in 2016.
Windsor Police Chief Al Fredrick earned $214,496 last year while Fire Chief Bruce Montone earned $146,338.
Carolyn Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Your Quick Gateway and Windsor Detroit Tunnel Commission came in at $162,759.14.
Mayor Drew Dilkins' salary was $112,750.
At Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare, the top employee on the list was CEO Janice Kaffer, whose salary was $300,007.65. Marie Campagnan, CFO was paid $225,991.
In 2016, 241 Windsor Regional Hospital employees earned $100,000 or more in salary and taxable benefits. The highest paid was David Musyj at $410,794.46.
The University of Windsor's top paid employee was President Alan Wildeman, who earned $332,606 in 2016.
The University had more than 570 people on its list.
St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology had nearly 200 people on its list, and President Patricia France made $282,000.
The Greater Essex County District School Board paid Director of Education Erin Kelly $207,444 last year. She topped the board's list of 388 employees who earned $100,000.
232 employees at the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board made $100,000 in 2016.
Topping the list was Director of Education Paul Picard at just under $228,000.
Five employees at Enwin Utilities made $100,000 last year. Vice President of Corporate Services and Corporate Secretary Victoria Zuber topped the list at $230,613.
One contentious issue already is the provincial government Hydro One salaries.
New filings show that CEO Mayo Schmidt was paid 4.5 million dollars in 2016 and $850,000 salary plus bonuses and the top five executives were paid a total of about 11.7 million dollars.
