Several young people who fled from police in a stolen vehicle early Saturday morning escaped unharmed following a major crash.

Windsor Police first spotted the 2000 Chevrolet Impala at Ouellette and Tecumseh just before 1:30 a.m Saturday.

It eventually crashed in the 1400 block of Dougall Road.

Three of the occupants were taken to Hotel-Dieu Grace Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Two male occupants took off from the scene.

They were later found in a residence on Hanna Street, hiding under piles of clothing and bedding.

A 20-year-old Windsor man was arrested for dangerous driving and possession of stolen property.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old LaSalle youth was arrested for breaching outstanding court order imposed conditions.

Damage is estimated around $50,000.
