Chatham-Kent police are investigating after eight solar panels were stolen from a business in Tilbury.
Investigators say the theft from First Solar Inc. on Industrial Road happened between July 20 and 29.
Suspects reportedly cut through a fence to access the solar panels, each of which is1.2 metres by 0.6 metres and weighs more than 12 kilograms.
The panels are only used for solar farms and the value of the theft is estimated at $1,600 with an additional $400 in property damage done.
