Windsor police are investigating after shots were fired at a west Windsor condo building.

It took place around 10:45 p.m. Tuesday at Portofino Condominiums at 1225 Riverside Drive West between Cameron Avenue and Elm Street. Police say they received several calls indicating shots being fired in the area.

Officers conducted an extensive search of the area, including an area of bush, but didn’t find any suspects.

No one was hurt, but several windows were shot at, say police. There was fresh damage to windows of a ground floor apartment, including two bullet holes in windows of the west-facing unit. The apartment was found to be empty.

Police have not been able to find the owner of the unit. Officers are in the process of obtaining a search warrant for the apartment in order to seize evidence in relation to this incident. Officers will be also conducting a ground search in the area around the apartment to try to find evidence.
