Five people -- including three children -- were sent to hospital following a serious crash Saturday afternoon.
Around 12:00 p.m., emergency crews were called to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Essex County Roads 34 and 37, east of Leamington.
A Freightliner truck and a Toyota van collided, sending two adults and three children in the Toyota to hospital with varying injuries, some are considered life-threatening.
The investigation continues.
