A Chatham man was hurt after a collision between a motorcycle and a dump truck on County Road 42 in Lakeshore.
At 8:15 a.m. Friday, Essex County OPP attended the scene of a motor vehicle crash at Essex County Road 42 and Comber Side Road.
Police say the driver of the motorcycle, a 68-year-old Chatham man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to area hospital.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
OPP say the White Sterling dump truck was eastbound on County Road 42 making a left hand turn when it crossed the path of the westbound Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.
Essex County Road 42 is closed at Comber side road, and the motoring public is asked to avoid the area while officers investigate the scene.
The OPP Technical Traffic Investigators are on scene and the investigation is ongoing. The roadway was closed until about1 p.m. It has since been reopened.
