The search continues in LaSalle, as police comb through a conservation area for a distressed 911 caller.

Resources have been scaled back, but officers are back on the ground Thursday, near Morton Drive and Malden Road. It’s been over 24-hours since 911 dispatch received over 20 calls from a person sounding to be in distress.

Reception was poor and the caller’s voice was faint. The only information they could provide to police was that they were outside.

A GPS search for the phone pinpointed its location near Morton Trail and Brunet Park. On Wednesday, an RCMP Search and Rescue plane, along with ATVs and bicycles combed the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
