Windsor police found a replica gun and arrested a Windsor man after a three-hour standoff in Walkerville on Wednesday.
Officers were called to 1094 Lincoln Rd for a gun call around 2:30 p.m. Police said two men were involved in an argument with lots of yelling and screaming. One man allegedly pointed a BB gun at the other man and ran into a small apartment building.
Police arrived and sectioned off the area. Ontario Street and Lincoln Road as well as Richmond Street and Windermere Road were closed.
A few hours later, when officers entered the apartment unit, it was empty. Police say they found ablack air soft pellet gun that was a replica of a Smith & Wesson semi-automatic pistol.
A 25-year-old man is charged with dangerous weapons and breach of probation.
