A Windsor woman is facing the fight of her life after being diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Julie Teti was diagnosed with metastatic peritoneal mesothelioma, a cancer that arises from the lining of the abdomen. It's a form of cancer that effects one in every four to five million people.

To help the 35-year-old registered nurse with medical bills, friends and family joined her for a pasta dinner at the Caboto Club to raise funds.

Due to the complexities of the cancer, Teti will likely have to seek treatment elsewhere in Canada or in the United States.
