Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens says a US blogger who is known for his anti-feminist views is not welcome in the city.

Daryush Valizadeh, who goes by the name Roosh V, leads a group called Return of Kings, which advises men on the best way to convince women to have sex with them.

The group is planning so-called meet-ups in cities worldwide this weekend, including Windsor.

Dilkens is denouncing Return of Kings, saying on Twitter “Your hate is not wanted nor welcomed in my (city).”

The group is scheduled to meet at Burt Weeks Memorial Gardens in Windsor at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Windsor's Welcome Centre Shelter for Women is planning a rally at the Gardens starting at 7 p.m.

The mayors of several major Canadian cities are adding their voice to the growing backlash against the controversial blogger.

On Tuesday, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson took to Twitter to publically tell the men’s rights activists that their “pro-rape, misogynistic, homophobic garbage is not welcome in Ottawa.”

The Canadian meetings are apparently scheduled for Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa, Surrey, B.C, Toronto, Vancouver, Victoria, Winnipeg and Windsor.
