Premier Aviation Windsor Inc. has announced a partnership with St. Clair College.

The college will offer a new training program, officials announced Monday.

“This collaboration with St. Clair College to deliver training customized to our needs represents a tremendous opportunity for Premier Aviation Windsor,” Ronnie Di Bartolo, Premier Aviation’s president and CEO.

The program will train 36 aircraft maintenance and repair workers in Windsor.

“We are committed to delivering industry-leading quality, value and turnaround times,” said Bartolo.  “These additional 36 aircraft maintenance and repair employees that will be trained and hired is an important milestone in our strategic growth plan for the Windsor MRO facility and will enhance support to our growing customer base in Windsor.”

Previous training for Premier Aviation took place in Quebec.

The training is funded with $292,273 from the Canada-Ontario Job Grant, a joint initiative of the Governments of Canada and Ontario that helps employers in Ontario train their workforce.
