Police warning of porch pirate season after arrest made in Wallaceburg
It's that time of year — police are warning of the so-called porch pirate.
According to Chatham-Kent police, a Wallaceburg officer had recently seen a social media post with concerns of alleged porch pirates stealing packages in town.
The officer recognized one suspect and a 30-year-old Wallaceburg woman was found and charged with possession of stolen property.
Police said she was later released from custody with a future court date to answer to the charge.
