A 28-year-old Windsor man is facing drug charges after police seized $18,551 worth of cocaine, crack and cannabis marijuana in a west end apartment unit.

The Windsor police drugs and guns unit were investigating information that crack cocaine was being dealt out of the apartment in the 1700 block of University Avenue.

Police obtained a search warrant and entered the apartment on Thursday.

Investigators say they found 24.6 grams of cocaine, 78.8 grams of crack cocaine, 821.1 grams of cannabis marijuana, baking soda, digital scales, and a stainless steel pot with cocaine residue inside it. They also seized $1,433 in Canadian and American money.

Elvin Kemp is charged with possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.
