Members of the local Provincial Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy have seized thousands of dollars in cocaine.

On Thursday, officers from Amherstburg, LaSalle, and Windsor police arrested a 30-year-old man in the area of Hall Avenue and Ottawa Street, around 12:50 p.m. Police say the man was found to be in possession of 1.7 grams of cocaine and two grams cannabis marijuana.

Officers also executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1300 block of Langlois Avenue. During the search, police say they located 277.6 grams of cocaine and 1.5 grams of cannabis marijuana.  The estimated value of the cocaine is $27,960.

Fabricio Rivera Paz is charged with possession of cocaine for trafficking and possession of marijuana.
