Windsor police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who has allegedly been stealing money from cash registers at Real Canadian Superstores in Windsor and maybe across the province.

Officers were called to two separate Real Canadian Superstores on the morning of Aug. 16 for similar theft reports that occurred the previous evening.

Police say a male suspect attended the Real Canadian Superstore in the 4300 block of Walker Road at approximately 9:15 p.m. and the other Real Canadian Superstore located in the 2400 block of Dougall Avenue about one hour later.

In both circumstances, a man is captured on video breaking into a cash register when no employees are around. In both incidents he leaves the store with a small quantity of cash.

Police believe that the same male may be responsible for similar thefts across the province at different department stores.
