Windsor police say they recovered an abandoned U-Haul after a break-in on Tecumseh Road.

On Friday at about 5 a.m., officers were dispatched to a break and enter at a business located in the 3800 block of Tecumseh Road East. 

Information was received that the front glass window was smashed and a U-Haul truck was observed leaving the scene.

 A similar vehicle was believed to be involved in a hit and run collision at approximately 5:30 a.m., in the area of Hanna Street East and Howard Avenue.   

The U-Haul was found abandoned in the 1600 block of Marentette Avenue with three stolen e-bikes from the business.

Investigation also revealed that the UHaul was stolen the night before.
