Windsor police have arrested a 53-year-old man who allegedly punched a woman and pulled her across a bar patio by her hair.

Officers were dispatched to the Lion’s Head Tavern in the 7800 block of Wyandotte Street East on Sunday July 3, at 10:45p.m.

Police spoke to a 23-year-old woman, who said that she was assaulted by an unknown male.

Officers searched the area but didn't locate the suspect. She said that she was involved in an argument with an unknown male just outside the establishment which quickly escalated into a physical confrontation where punches were exchanged.

Police say she told them after the initial confrontation, the male suspect continued assaulting her and pulled her across the patio by her hair.

The victim sustained bruising to the face and abrasions on her legs.

Through the investigation police were able to identify the alleged suspect and subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest.

On July 25, at about 10:30 a.m., patrol officers located the male in the 6500 block of Wyandotte Street East and placed him under arrest without incident.

Kelly Couvillon, 53, from Windsor is charged with assault.
