Windsor police say a 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a fight broke out in the 1500 block of Windermere Road around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the man was involved in an earlier fight inside a house. The victim told police he went to the house to visit a friend and became involved in an argument with the friend’s roommate. The victim alleges he was held by one man while he was stabbed by the other.

Officers discovered him bleeding on the driveway outside with stab wounds in his back and shoulder. He also had a laceration above his left eye.

An officer on scene administered first aid and called paramedics. He was transported to hospital. His wounds were serious, but non-life threatening, according to police.

On Thursday, he was listed in fair condition at the Ouellette campus of Windsor Regional Hospital.
