WINDSOR, ONT. -- Chatham-Kent OPP say a 30-year-old pedestrian has died after getting hit by a transport truck on Highway 401.

Police responded to a collision on Highway 401 westbound just east of Bloomfield Road in Chatham-Kent on Friday around 6:40 a.m.

A London man was pronounced deceased at the scene. OPP say the death is not suspicious and foul play in not suspected. No charges are expected.

The transport truck driver was not injured.

All lanes of the 401 that were closed have since reopened.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available. The investigation is ongoing.
