Some quick acting motorists were able to stop an alleged drunk driver.

Tecumseh provincial police say drivers ahead and behind a black Charger on Walker Road were concerned when they noticed the car travelling erratically Wednesday morning.

When they stopped for a light at Highway 3, surrounding drivers exited their vehicles and removed the keys from the Charger after they saw signs of impairment.

Jason Pare, 30, from Windsor was arrested at the scene and has been charged with impaired driving and exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content.

He is scheduled to appear in court in two weeks.
