One injured in Windsor kitchen fire

One person has been injured following a kitchen fire in Windsor.

Windsor fire reported the incident in the 2600 block of St. Clair Avenue. The fire was put out around 2:20 p.m. by firefighters and crews continued to clear the building of smoke.

EMS transported one person to hospital, who has since been released with first and second degree burns. They are expected to make a full recovery.

The fire resulted in roughly $30,000 in damages.

Although investigators have determined the cause and origin of the fire, that information has not been made public.
