Highway 40 in Chatham-Kent is closed, as officers continue to investigate a Thursday morning fatal collision.
Chatham-Kent OPP Const. Janine Belanger says a north bound cement truck and a south bound car collided shortly before 10 a.m.
According to police the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver of the cement truck was taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries. He has since been released.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team has been called in to assist with pin pointing a cause.
Highway 40 will remain closed for several hours. Traffic is being re-routed at Dover Centre Line and at Greenvalley Line.
