A two-vehicle crash on University Avenue around 8 p.m. Friday sent one of the vehicles into a building. It happened on University between Campbell and McEwan.

One of the cars flipped over and came to a rest against a building. A woman had to be extricated and suffered minor injuries.

The building happened to be empty at the time, but only because a grand opening, which had been scheduled to occur at that time, was delayed. One of the owners of the business that's about to open in the building, Randal Morawetz, says about 30 people would have been in there, celebrating the opening of the space as an office for R.A.M Property Management.

Morawetz says his desk is located right beside the window that was shattered in the crash. "I would have been directly in the line of fire."

Police have not laid charges at this point.
