The City of Windsor has the best tasting in Ontario, according to the Ontario Water Works Association.

The OWWA has chosen Windsor to receive its Best Tasting Water Award for 2015.

The city first received the award in 2011.

“We are delighted to once again be recognized in our role as a provincial leader in the field of water

technology,” says John Wladarski, vice president asset management for Enwin Utilities Ltd.

Windsor was the first municipality in Ontario to use ozone for primary disinfection.

Officials say Windsor has proven leadership status in treatment optimization, plant energy conservation, distribution system pressure and flow monitoring.

“We are proud of our leadership in water distribution,” Wladarski said. “Winning this award for a

second time reaffirms the benefits of Enwin’s water treatment processes.”
