More than 100 films from around the world will be shown at this year's Windsor International Film Festival.

For the first time, WIFF is partnering with the Chrysler Theatre. Films will be screened at both the Chrysler and Capitol theatres from Nov. 1-6.

Organizer Vincent Georgie says an average pass holder watched 27 films last year and the comfortable, newly renovated Chrysler Theatre seats will make watching films more enjoyable.

"There are 22 offerings of local films this year,” says Georgie. “We've got 13 from the 40 that are Flickfest.”

He says WIFF has three features; ‘How to Prepare for Prison’, the great documentary ‘Migrant Dream’ another great documentary. The tenth anniversary of 'Things to Do' which is a Windsor feature shot 10 years ago.

The event will also feature over 160 screenings, 15 francophone films as well as virtual reality experiences, live reads and a live documentary.

Recently named the second largest volunteer run film festival in Canada, Georgie says WIFF is a badge of honour for the city and he forecasts even bigger ticket sales this year.
