Gene Simmons and His Band

Caesars Windsor is welcoming Kiss co-founder  Gene Simmons & His Band on their first ever solo tour. Even though the other Kiss band memebers won’t be there, Simmons Hear is expected to perform favourite songs including “Rock and Roll All Nite”, “Detroit Rock City” and “I Was Made for Lovin’ You.” He’ll also do classic covers and original solo songs.  Showtime is 9 p.m. on Friday. There are still a few tickets available. 

Tecumseh Corn Festival

You know summer is winding down when it’s time for the Tecumseh Corn Festival.  Festival organizers say there’s something for the entire family at Lacasse Park, including corn-on-the-cob, carnival rides, parade and a vendor village. The event kicks off today, with the Miss Tecumseh Pageant. Several women are competing for the crown. There’s also live entertainment all weekend long - Country band Buck Twenty performs on Friday and Brass Transit is headlining Saturday night. Daily admission provides access to all activities including the concerts.

WSO Free Summer Concerts

The Windsor Symphony Orchestra is still taking advantage of the summer weather.  A woodwind quintet is performing two shows this weekend – on Saturday at Colchester Harbour Beach and on Sunday at Reaume Park in Windsor. Don’t forget your lawn chairs, blankets, friends, family. Admission is free.

The Little Mermaid: The Musical

It’s an underwater journey at The Capitol Theatre. “The Little Mermaid: The Musical is running at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday. The show is a musical inspired by Andersen’s tale. www.capitoltheatrewindsor.ca
