A 30-year-old man was arrested after police say he was caught with a loaded handgun tucked in his waistband in downtown Windsor.

Officers on patrol received information about a male possibly with a handgun on Sunday around 1:30 a.m.

Police found the man running north in the 400 block of Ouellette Avenue and placed him under arrest without incident. Upon searching the man, officers say a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun was found in his front waistband.

Ronald Robinson, 30, of Windsor is charged with possessing a weapon dangerous to public peace and carrying a concealed weapon.
