Windsor police have charged a local man with trafficking drugs.
Members of the DIGS unit moved in on a suspect last evening following a drug investigation.
Officers pulled a vehicle over in the 2800 block of Howard Avenue believing the driver was in possession of a firearm and trafficking drugs.
Members of the DIGS unit placed a male under arrest with the Emergency Service Unit.
Officers say they discovered a loaded handgun with a high capacity magazine, 0.8 grams of Methamphetamine, a cell phone, and a large quantity of cash.
Police then executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 1800 block of Ford Boulevard.
Officers say they located and seized two digital scales, packaging, $100 in Canadian Currency and two cell phones.
Justin Loma, 28, is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm without a licence, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, having a firearm in a motor vehicle, transporting a firearm contrary to regulations, possessing of a prohibited device and three counts of possession of a firearm while prohibited.
