Windsor police are thanking the public for their help in locating five-year-old Alexis Stafford.
On Wednesday evening, @WindsorPolice Tweeted "5 year old Alexis Stafford has been located. Thank you for your retweets and shares. ^PM"
Earlier on Wednesday, police released photos of the girl but said Stafford was believed to be in the care of a family member and not in any immediate danger.
Police had been working with other law enforcement agencies across Canada and the Children’s Aid Society in locating Stafford.
