A change may be coming to the way methadone clinics are allowed to operate in Windsor.

Councillor Bill Marra say the bylaw that limits where a methadone clinic can operate contravenes the Ontario Human Rights Code.

City council will consider eliminating the requirement that clinics must be at least 150 metres from a home and allowing clinics to operate under the guise of medical offices.

Marra says he believes the city could face legal challenges if it doesn't change the bylaw.
