Windsor police have laid charges against a Windsor man, who allegedly threatened high school students with a knife.

Ahmad Othman, 22, is charged with possession of weapon dangerous to public peace and uttering threats.

The charges are in connection to an incident Tuesday in the 1000 block of Dot Avenue. Police say Othman jumped a fence and chased Assumption College High School students, with a knife in hand.

Officers say Othman told the group of students that he would be “waiting until lunch is over.”

The students ran back to the campus and informed the principal. Assumption was then placed on a hold and secure for about an hour, while an investigation was conducted.

Windsor police says at no point did the suspect enter the school, nor was anyone injured.

Through their investigation, officers located a knife in the area. The suspect was discovered a short time later, where he was arrested.
