Windsor police arrested a man, after an alleged break and enter at two separate houses.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of McKay Avenue early Wednesday morning for a break and enter call. Upon arrival officers were informed that someone had allegedly pried open a screen window and could be seen moving outside.
The complainant screamed at the suspect and called police. At the scene officers noticed fresh footprints in the snow and the removed screen.
Police say officers located the suspect in the 1000 block of Curry Avenue, where they witnessed him standing on a recycling box allegedly attempting to pry open another window.
Officers arrested John Turpin at the scene. Police say a search of the suspect turned up items taken from another residence. Police say video has also been obtained capturing the suspect stealing a bicycle.
The 31-year-old is charged with break and enter, theft, three counts of attempted break and enter, two counts of possession of stolen property and breach of probation.
