Leamington robbery sends one to hospital

The Essex OPP are investigating a Leamington robbery that took place overnight Friday.
At 11:05 p.m., police were called to a disturbance on Erie Street in Leamington.
Officers said through investigation, they determined a victim was robbed by two or three people, who left the scene in a dark coloured SUV before OPP arrived.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
OPP believe this was an isolated incident and confirm there was no threat to public safety.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
