Members of the OPP child sexual exploitation unit have arrested and charged a Leamington man for alleged possession of child pornography.
Police received a report from a social media outlet that an unknown person had uploaded an image of child sexual abuse to the internet.
On July 31, police executed a search warrant at a Leamington residence and seized two computer systems and a mobile phone, which police allege contained images of child sexual abuse.
Police arrested the man and charged him with two counts of possession of child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography.
Glen Robert Hawkins, 33, of Leamington is scheduled to appear in court on August 31 to answer to the charges.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
