A Leamington man has been charged following a two month long child pornography investigation.

According to the OPP, the Toronto police child sexual exploitation unit identified a suspect sharing images of child sexual abuse over the internet in October. The suspect was later identified to be from Leamington. That’s when the case was sent to the OPP.

On Friday, officers with the OPP sexual exploitation unit, Leamington OPP and London police, executed a search warrant at a residence in the town. As a result, investigators seized two computers and other items, which they say contained images of child sexual abuse.

OPP have charged 41-year-old Peter Klassen with two counts of possession of child pornography, one count of making available child pornography and one count of accessing child pornography.

The accused will make a court appearance Friday.
