Leamington OPP officers say a 14-year-old male has been charged after speeding down Plumbrook Avenue, crashing into a parked car and hitting a brick garage.
It happened around 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. OPP officers were called to a house on Alderton Avenue in Leamington regarding a collision.
Police say the Leamington teen took his parents car without their consent, travelled at a high rate of speed south on Plumbrook Avenue, crashed into a parked car, and then into a brick garage on Alderton Avenue.
In order for the vehicle to be removed from the garage, a restoration company had to be called in to stabilize the wall so that it wouldn’t collapse.
The youth was released to his parents and was charged with taking a motor vehicle without consent. He will appear in a Leamington court at a later date.
