A LaSalle police officer has been fined nearly $1400 and given a one year driving suspension after pleading guilty to operating a vehicle over the legal limit.

Mike Foreman failed a breathalyzer test when he crossed the border in April.

Windsor police were called in and charged Foreman, who has been with the LaSalle service for more than 20 years.

A LaSalle police staff sergeant says Foreman remains suspended with pay as an internal investigation by the service is being conducted into the incident.
