A Kingsville boy will tackle the freezing temperatures Saturday as he heads into the frigid waters for a cause he truly believes in.

When Keagen Smith was 10-years old, he held a fundraiser for Josefin a 9-year old girl from Sweden that he had never met.  His father knew her mother; that was their only connection.

Josefin had lost her leg to cancer and Smith raised a $1,000. Shortly after Josefin's health worsened and she died. In a Facebook video, Smith shares her story.

Smith, wanting to do something in her honour joined his mother’s team for the 2014 Kingville Polar Bear Dip.

He’s set a goal of $5,000, which he’s already surpassed. For more information on the dip and Smith’s cause, you can visit the polar bear dip's website.
