A Windsor dog is ready for adoption, five months after he was found with his snout, neck and paws bound with electrical tape.

After four surgeries, three heartworm treatment injections, two personal trainers and a record-setting sentence for his abuser, Justice is finally ready to find his forever home, according the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society.

Shelter officials say he has some special requirements in his new home.

Anyone interested in adopting Justice is asked to send an email to behaviour@windsorhumane.org.

They will be asking potential adopters to fill in a short survey regarding the home they will provide and their expectations, and then setting up meetings with a short list of potential adoptive families.

The humane society expects that he will be in his new home by mid-June.
